I am consumer, elder law and personal injury attorney Jane E. Bednar. I graduated in 1988 from Monterey College of Law, where I graduated among the top in my class.
I have worked with some of the most respected attorneys in California on major cases and trials, including complex mass tort litigation, for more than 20 years.
Communication is key in the practice of law: Communication with clients, judges, juries, and opposing counsel is essential for a successful outcome of any case. With a degree and several years of experience in journalism, I am a trained communicator. I also train others to be effective communicators, as a professor of writing and legal analysis at the law school level.
I have handled many types of personal injury matters. Ninety percent or more of personal injury cases settle before trial. I have tried numerous cases to jury trial where matters have not settled.
In 2005, I established the Law Office of Jane E. Bednar in order to be more directly responsive to my clients and to offer cost-effective representation while providing excellent service and maintaining the highest professional standards.
